Membership of the Association shall be open to every indigenes of Akwa Ibom State provided that:
(i) The person is fit both in character and learning, and is not below the age of 30 years and has obtained a formal education from a recognized institution, or
(ii) The person is gainfully employed of is a professional in any recognized professionals in Nigeria, or belongs to an occupation established by Charter or Law.
(iii) A member accepts the aims, objectives, principles, fundamental values, policies and programmes of the Association.
(iv) The Applicant for membership is adjudged by the Board of Trustees to be fit and competent to become a member of the Association.
(v) The Applicant is of good financial standing and has never been adjudged bankrupt by a competent authority either in Nigerian or elsewhere.
